25 years of a live marked by a ticket

Yesterday marked 25 years since the group Kafha (in which I played) played with Su Ta Gar at the Eibar sports center.

Su Ta Gar presented their album Homo Sapiens and in my opinion they were in very good shape (they had recorded with a couple of UK producers and album had very good sound and songs, very inspired in my opinion). A few years ago I found out that a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier 2 CH was used to record the rythm guitars (at least some of them and the sound resembles practically all rhythm guitars) on that album, provided by Latzen’s guitarist. The members of Kafha were happy to have won the recent Euskadi Gaztea demo contest that year and to play in Eibar, the town of both groups. The sports center was a venue for the big concerts in Eibar at that time. I remember testing Su Ta Gar with Santana-like guitar sounds in some quiet passages, seeing Iban on stage just before they played…

I have the ticket (I don’t know how when I played at the concert but well, I have it…maybe because the tickets back then had their art and they gave them to us to keep as a souvenir) for the concert hanging on my Kitarshokak´s txoko.

A nice memory of a past stage that I will always keep with affection.

That November 20th it snowed heavily… How quickly time flies!

Thanks for live picture to Mikel Urkia!
