Aitorpenak in Kitarshokak Studioak
Aitor from Aitorpenak is a musically restless person, always with new ideas and projects, alone or with his band, Aitorpenak. He is Catalan but with deep Basque roots, always trying to practice his beloved Basque. It is always a pleasure to be part of your adventures. This has been a small last minute detail that he thought of inserting into his next album. It is a “tribute” to a certain not very good character, let’s say, we’ll leave it there. Something simple but with background, irony and probably anger.
For the handclaps we have used a vintage 80s Sennheiser 441 and for the vocals a vintage 60s Neumann KM86i, the microphone of many Motown recordings. All of this recorded through API 512C preamps.
In his day he recorded his “Denbora ez da inoiz gelditzen” in Kitarshokak where I made my production contributions in the form of arrangements and interpretations of some instruments in addition to recording and mixing. Kitarshokak’s backline was also present as he used the ’74 Gibson J45 that we have available for you, the same model from practically the same years as Bob Dylan used, square shoulders. For me it has the same sound of Led Zeppelin “Stairway To Heaven” song.
