Drum rental in Azkena Itinerant Rock
This past weekend, I had the opportunity to offer Backline drum rental services in Labastida, as part of the Itinerant Azkena Rock. It was truly a very positive experience. Everything went very well.
The sound of the Yamaha OAK Custom from Kitarshokak’s Backline never disappoints, and the bands were made up of good musicians. The Claytons and Nightwaves were the bands. The firsts were laid-back, with a youthful rock soul. The lead guitarist with solos on his back, the singer, limping due to an injury, sitting down, but singing very well and with attitude. Great vocals. The latter were calmer but still had a lot of depth, with a very complete band with three backing vocalists-percussionists. I told backing vocalists what they were doing was great, that without them the band would be completely different, more stripped down. They were very grateful for the gesture. What else! That’s how I felt!
The live was very fluid and included some very interesting anecdotes. I met Ramón from RMT Sonido from Tudela, who in turn was known to a Kitarshokak customer for many years, Santy. A very nice and approachable sound technician. In Nightwaves, they knew Kitarshokak because I actually sold one of their amps to William 10 or more years ago, and he still had it and played with it at the show! It was also a very unusual amp, a Marshall JTM45 with a master and 6L6 power tubes, Fenderized for it. That’s what it can be called a good product, a good purchase, and someone who knows how to get the most out of what he has!
