I have the pleasure of recording the vocals and guitars for this surreal project based on the pandemic. El Desvan del Macho is a band I’ve known for many, many years, having heard them on the radio, and even then I found it interesting, although my musical paths were in a completely different direction. It’s been a positive surprise to take part in this new LP, which is slowly developing due to the vicissitudes of life.

In Kitarshokak, we recorded vocals and guitars only, as the project stems from previous recordings. It’s a project that will likely take some time to public.

For the vocal recordings, an original Neumann KM86 from the 1960s and 1970s was used with an API preamp, both available in Kitarshokak, achieving a silky, clear sound. The KM86 is the quintessential microphone of the Motown record label. Almost everything released on that label was recorded with this microphone.

For guitar recording, a Sennheiser 441 was used, also with the API preamp and an injection box.
