Description

Built in the UK in 1985, this is the 100-watt combo version of the iconic 2203 head. It retains the raw, aggressive, and defined character that made the JCM800 famous, while incorporating a “Hot Rod” modification.

The mod adds an extra preamp tube and a Post Phase Inverter master, delivering more gain, body, harmonic richness, and density. Footswitch control allows toggling between normal and high gain modes, offering two pedal-controlled options: saturated / more saturated or clean / saturated, depending on the guitar used and the amp’s low/high input selection.

The result: everything from classic crunch to powerful saturated distortion — perfect for metal, heavy riffs, infinite sustain solos, and tones that cut through any mix.

Ideal for both studio and live use, with the punch and presence only a vintage Marshall can deliver.
