The Avalon VT-737SP is a well-known mono tube preamplifier combined with an opto-compressor and 4-band EQ. Ideal for recording direct to tape, DAW and digital recordings. It has three input selectors: balanced mic, DI instrument, and balanced line input. The opto-compressor features Class A tube triodes. The optical attenuator acts as a simple passive level control. Built-in spectral control (capable of de-essing) offers dual swept mid EQ capable of sidechaining. We have it improved with old vintage NOS beautiful tubes, giving it a sweeter sound with less gain and volume. We also have their original tubes (more rude sound, less smoother in my opinion) in case for some reason the original nuances are sought.
